1966 Akron Zips football team
The 1966 Akron Zips football team represented Akron University in the 1966 NCAA College Division season as an independent. Led by sixth-year head coach Gordon K. Larson, the Zips played their home games at the Rubber Bowl in Akron, Ohio. They finished the season with a 6–3 record and outscored opponents 137–116. Captains were Jim Braccio and George Fuciu.
