Halesi Tuwachung Municipality
Halesi Tuwachung (Nepali: हलेसी तुवाचुङ) is a municipality in Khotang District, Province No. 1, Nepal. It is one of two municipalities in the district, located in the western part and about 40 km from Diktel, the district headquarters. The municipality is named after the famous Halesi Mahadev temple. It has 11 wards and covers 280.17 square kilometers. The headquarters is in Durchim. According to the 2011 census, the population was 29,532. The mayor is Iban Rai (Nepali Congress) and the deputy mayor is Bimla Rai (Nepali Congress). The time zone is Nepal Time (UTC+5:45).
