Kera (clothing)
Kera is a long, rectangular cloth belt used in Bhutanese dress. It has fringed ends and is woven from cotton, wool, silk, or blends. Typical size is about 30–45 cm wide and 180–240 cm long. Women wear it with the kira (a skirt), while men wear it as a belt with the gho (a knee-length robe). It is wrapped around the waist and tucked in to secure the outfit, and it can also hold small items like a pocket. Today, Kera is worn as a fashion item too, with younger people styling it in new ways.
