The 1949–50 Swiss Cup was the 25th season of Switzerland’s national football cup, run by the Swiss Football Association. The tournament began the weekend of 11 September 1949 and finished with the final on Easter Monday, 10 April 1950, at the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern. Because the final ended in a draw, a replay was played on Ascension Thursday, 18 May 1950.

The 1. Liga clubs entered in the second round. Teams from Nationalliga A (NLA) and Nationalliga B (NLB) received byes in the first two rounds and joined in the third round on the weekend of 30 October. The competition was knockout, with drawn matches going to extra time; if still tied, a replay was scheduled at the visiting team’s ground. If the replay was still drawn after extra time, a coin toss decided who advanced. The draw aimed to respect regional groupings, and in the second round NLA teams were seeded and could not be drawn against each other.

Lausanne-Sport won the cup, claiming their fourth title, defeating Cantonal Neuchâtel in the final.
