Kartar Singh, born 7 October 1953 in Sur Singh village, Tarn Taran, Punjab, is an Indian wrestler. He won gold at the Asian Games in Bangkok (1978) and Seoul (1986) in the 90–100 kg category, and silver at Delhi (1982). He also earned bronze at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton and silver at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, finishing seventh in the 100 kg freestyle at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.

Later he moved to Jalandhar and worked as Superintendent of Police and Director of Sports for Punjab, retiring in 2013 as Inspector General of Police. He received the Arjuna Award in 1982 and the Padma Shri in 1987. In veterans wrestling, he won gold medals at world championships in 1992 (Colombia), 1993 (Toronto), 1997 (Martigny, Switzerland), and 1998 (Bodex, France).
