Kankakee Valley Conference
The Kankakee Valley Conference, also called the Kankakee Valley Athletic Association, was an Indiana high school sports league that lasted from 1933 to 1967. It started when the Jasper and Newton county conferences merged, and some Porter County schools joined to get more competition. Soon after, teams from Starke and White counties joined as well. For a short time, LaCrosse from LaPorte County played in the league, but it mainly stayed in its original area. The conference was closely tied to the Midwest Athletic Conference; some schools played in both leagues in the MAC’s early days, and many KVC schools helped form the MAC or moved to it after the KVC ended.
