Kalvøysund
Kalvøysund is a village in Arendal municipality, Agder county, Norway. It sits on the eastern shore of the island Flostaøya, about 2 km south of Kilsund and 3 km northeast of Narestø. During World War II, a large German fortress was built there to defend the coast, covering about 10 acres with 50 bunkers, other buildings, and four artillery positions. After the war, the Norwegian military used the site for exercises. Today it is owned by local authorities and is a popular tourist destination.
