Jurignac
Jurignac is a former commune in the Charente department in southwestern France. It merged on January 1, 2016 into the new commune Val-des-Vignes. The area covers about 116 square kilometers and had 641 residents in 2018 (roughly 40 people per square kilometer). The elevation ranges from 50 to 141 meters above sea level. The postal code is 16250. Notable sights include the Andre Duclos Cognac Distillery, a late-19th‑century building now used as a music hall—the only listed building in the area—and St. Peter’s Church, the main church. Jurignac is in the Angoulême arrondissement.
