Ivy League Fencing Championships

The Ivy League Fencing Championships determine the league standings for men’s and women’s fencing each year. The men’s and women’s events are held separately. The men’s round-robin started in 1956, and the women’s in 1982. Today, five schools compete in the men’s event because Brown, Cornell, and Dartmouth do not sponsor NCAA men’s fencing. Brown and Cornell used to participate, but their men’s teams were cut (Brown in 2020, Cornell in 1993). The women’s event includes seven teams, with every Ivy League school except Dartmouth sponsoring a team.
