Jungle World is a weekly German newspaper published in Berlin, with editions in Germany and Austria. It began in 1997 when editors left the left-wing daily Junge Welt, but later became independent. It is published by Jungle World Verlags GmbH and produced by more than 30 current and former staff and supporters. The paper is known for anti-nationalist, cosmopolitan, left-wing views and is often linked to the anti-German milieu. Its online edition posts articles after the print issue.

Since its relaunch in 2007, Jungle World has two sections: politics and analysis, and culture with literary criticism, satire, and longer dossiers. The website has featured blogs since 2008. The 20th anniversary edition in 2017 was written entirely by former employees. The print edition has a 20-page main section in Berliner format and a 24-page magazine section, with a redesigned front page and a five-column layout introduced in 2016. The fonts Floris JW and Floris Text were designed for the newspaper.

Circulation and distribution: about 16,000 copies per week around 2015–2020; paid circulation in 2011 was about 11,585, with around 6,300 subscriptions. Jungle World is distributed nationwide by Carnivora and is available at train stations, kiosks, and bookstores in Germany and Austria.

Content and reception: its articles sometimes appear in media roundups like Perlentaucher and Spiegel Online. The paper has faced criticism from some left groups over positions on issues such as the Iraq War and its stance on Israel; some critics label it anti-German. Authorities have noted its significance within the anti-German milieu.
