Cerro Campana, also called Cerro Cristal, is a glacier-covered mountain in the Andes of Patagonia. It rises to about 2,094 meters (6,870 feet) above sea level and sits on the eastern edge of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, west of Lake Viedma. The mountain lies in a border area claimed by both Argentina and Chile and is near the glacier named Campana. On the Argentine side, Cerro Campana is part of Los Glaciares National Park (since 1937) and the area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (since 1981). On the Chilean side, the western slope is in Bernardo O'Higgins National Park (since 1969). The border around Cerro Campana was defined in 1898 by Argentine and Chilean surveyors, with later agreements in 1998 clarifying parts of the boundary.
