Jonny Maconie is a fictional character in the BBC medical drama Holby City, played by Michael Thomson. He first appears in the 14th series in the episode “Wolf’s Clothing” on 15 May 2012. Jonny works as a clinical nurse manager and transplant coordinator at Holby City Hospital. He’s known for being funny, confident, and a bit of a lad, but he always cares about his patients. He is close friends with Mo Effanga.

Jonny’s major storylines include a romance with Jac Naylor, with whom he has a daughter, Emma Naylor-Maconie. He becomes engaged to nurse Bonnie Wallis, but Bonnie dies on their wedding day. He is also accused of causing a patient’s death and spends time in prison. Jonny eventually reconciles with Jac, and they leave Holby City together with Emma.

He makes a return as a guest on 23 June 2015. Afterward, Jac and Jonny are reported to have broken up off-screen, but they continue to co-parent Emma.
