Jonathan W. Brown (born November 28, 1968, in New York City) is an American rower who competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics, finishing fifth in the men's eight. He rowed for Boston University. At the World Rowing Championships, he won a gold medal in 1994 and bronze medals in 1993 and 1995 in the men's eight. At the Henley Royal Regatta, he won the Grand Challenge Cup with the eight in 1994 and 1995, and the Queen Mother Cup in 1998 in the quadruple sculls. He competed at the Pan American Games in 1995 (Mar del Plata) in the coxless four and the eight, and in 1999 (Winnipeg) in the coxless four. Education: BA from Boston University and MA from John Jay College (CUNY). He appeared in a 1996 Vanity Fair photo shoot with other Olympic athletes.
