Mørke railway station
Mørke station serves the town of Mørke on the Djursland peninsula in Jutland, Denmark. It lies on the Grenaa railway line between Aarhus and Grenaa. The station opened on 1 December 1877 when Østjyske Jernbane opened a branch from Aarhus to Ryomgård on the Randers-Ryomgård-Grenaa route. Soon trains ran directly between Grenaa and Aarhus, and the Ryomgård–Randers section became mainly a freight line until it closed on 2 May 1971. From 2016 to 2019 the Grenaa line was closed for reconstruction and electrification to become part of the Aarhus light rail system. Since 2019, Mørke is served by Line L1 of the Aarhus light rail, run by Keolis. The station has one platform and one track. It is owned by Banedanmark. The station building, designed in 1877 by architect Niels Peder Christian Holsøe, was created for the Danish State Railways.
