John Reeve (businessman)
John Reeve is a British businessman who was the executive chairman and chief executive officer of Willis Group Holdings from 1995 to 2000. Earlier in his career, he worked for The British Aluminum Company and then served as group finance director of Mercantile House Holdings. He joined Sun Life Corporation plc in 1988 and was managing director there from 1988 to 1995. Reeve joined Willis on 1 November 1995 as executive chairman-elect and became executive chairman on 1 December 1995. During his time at Willis (then known as Willis Corroon Group Ltd), the company was bought by Trinity Acquisition PLC. He retired in 2000 and was succeeded by Joe Plumeri. In December 2004 it was announced that AMP would be renamed Pearl, and Reeve would chair the new company.
