John A. Pilch (July 11, 1925 – June 14, 1991) was an American basketball player who played in the NBA. Born in Sheridan, Wyoming, he went to Hot Springs County High School in Thermopolis and starred for the Wyoming Cowboys from 1947 to 1950, becoming Wyoming’s leading scorer. In his senior year he averaged 11.5 points per game and earned All-American honors. He stood 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 185 pounds.

Pilch was drafted in the second round of the 1950 NBA draft, 14th overall, by the Baltimore Bullets. He played one NBA season with the Minneapolis Lakers (1951–52), averaging 0.6 points and 1 rebound per game. In 1999, he was posthumously inducted into the University of Wyoming Athletics Hall of Fame.
