Johannes Eick, born 22 April 1964 in Eidsfoss, Vestfold, is a Norwegian jazz bassist who plays both upright bass and electric bass guitar. He is the son of bassist and vibraphonist Jürgen Eick and the older brother of musicians Trude Eick and Mathias Eick. In his youth he played in the band Kix with Elin Rosseland (1982–1986) and is known for his work with Karin Krog, John Surman, Vigleik Storaas, Christian Wallumrød, Sidsel Endresen and Hans Mathisen.

He studied jazz at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium (1983–1986) and played in several bands there, including Horn, Visit, Fair Play, Nimbus, Pentateuch and Nuku (the album Nuku released in 1991). He also contributed to Airamero (album in 1993) and played with the Vigleik Storaas Trio on the albums Bilder (1994), Andre Bilder (1996) and Subsonic (2002). In 1983 he converted the double bass from four to five strings and built a five-string electric bass; in 1991 he expanded both to six strings. His festival debut was Molde in 1985 with the Elin Rosseland Quintet, and his first album with her appeared in 1988 (Fair Play). Between 1985 and 1987 he worked as a regional musician in Finnmark with the quartet NOOR. He has since based himself in Eastern Norway and has collaborated with Michael Bloch (1991–92), Karin Krog & John Surman, and the Kalpa quartet (1992–94).
