John Lennon Park, also known as Parque John Lennon, is a public park in Vedado, Havana, Cuba. A bronze statue of John Lennon sits on a bench at the corner of 17th Street and 6th Avenue, created by Cuban artist José Villa Soberón. On the bench’s foot is a marble tile with the Spanish inscription: "Dirás que soy un soñador pero no soy el único" — Spanish for "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one" from the song Imagine. Lennon's round glasses are often missing, but a daytime security guard can place them on the statue if someone asks. The statue was unveiled on December 8, 2000, the 20th anniversary of Lennon's murder. In 2001, Cuban author Ernesto Juan Castellanos wrote a book about the statue, John Lennon en La Habana with a little help from my friends, about Lennon's and The Beatles' reception in Cuba during the 1960s and 1970s. The park's coordinates are 23°07′55″N 82°24′01″W.
