John Dackombe

Sir John Dackombe (1570–1618) was an English lawyer and public official from Motcombe, Dorset. He was the eldest son of Richard Dackombe and studied at the Middle Temple in 1596. He inherited his father's estate in 1600 and was knighted in 1616.

- Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (1616–1618), following Sir Thomas Parry and later succeeded by Sir Humphrey May
- Member of Parliament for Corfe Castle in the 1614 Addled Parliament

Family
He married by 1607 Melior Pitt, daughter of John Pitt of Blandford Forum and widow of Robert Mohun of Bothenhampton. They had one son and two daughters.

Died on 29 January 1618 at age 48.
