Taitsville is a small, unincorporated community in northern Ray County, Missouri, and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. It sits at the end of Missouri Route VV, about four miles northeast of Knoxville, with the East Fork of the Crooked River along its east side. The town was laid out in 1871 by brothers James and John Tait, who gave it their surname. A post office operated in Taitsville from 1872 until 1904.
