Jim Simon (American football)
Jim Simon (born March 22, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is a former American football offensive lineman who played in the NFL during the 1960s. He played guard and tackle for the Detroit Lions from 1963 to 1965 and the Atlanta Falcons from 1966 to 1968. He appeared in 82 NFL games, starting 39.
Simon played college football at the University of Miami (Miami Hurricanes) and attended Scott Township High School in Pennsylvania. He was 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighed about 240 pounds during his playing days. He was drafted in 1963: NFL draft 15th round, 208th overall, and AFL draft 9th round, 71st overall.
