The Ibanez K7 is a seven-string signature guitar created by Ibanez in 2001 through a collaboration with Korn’s James "Munky" Shaffer and Brian "Head" Welch. It was designed to deliver the heavy, downtuned tones that Korn made famous and to push the boundaries of what a seven-string could do.

Production and legacy
- The K7 was produced from 2001 to 2006. Two finishes represented the Korn pair: Firespeak Blue for Munky and Blade Gray for Head.
- It helped define Korn’s sound during the early 2000s nu-metal era and inspired many metal players to explore lower tunings and heavier tones.
- In 2007, Ibanez released the Apex line as the next Korn signature series. Munky continued to be associated with K7 guitars in live performances, and Head kept using his K7 as his signature instrument during periods away from the band.
The K7 remains a landmark guitar for its role in shaping heavy, extended-range metal.
