Jharkhand University of Technology
Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT) is a state autonomous university in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. It was established in 2011 to bring all polytechnic and technical colleges in the state under one umbrella and to raise the quality of technical education. JUT operates under the Jharkhand University of Technology Act (2011; amended 2015) and has Jharkhand as its territorial jurisdiction.
Its mission is to create centres of excellence in science, technology, engineering and management, town planning, pharmacy, applied arts and crafts, and related fields, as declared by the government in consultation with AICTE. The aim is to unify technical education and expand its reach across the state.
