Jeremiah Martin Green (March 4, 1977 – December 31, 2022) was an American drummer and a founding member of the indie rock band Modest Mouse. He played with the band from 1993 to 2003 and again from 2004 until his death. Born in Oahu, Hawaii, he grew up in Moxee, Washington, and moved to the Seattle area in 1989. His father was an alcoholic who was abusive, but he later apologized and reconciled with Jeremiah.

Green started drumming in his teens and was inspired by bands like The Cure and Fugazi. He helped form Modest Mouse in Issaquah, Washington, with Isaac Brock and Eric Judy. In the mid-1990s he also played with several Northwest bands, including Satisfact, Red Stars Theory, Peeved, Vells, and Psychic Emperor.

In 2003 he left Modest Mouse after a nervous breakdown and a bipolar diagnosis, and he spent time in a psychiatric hospital. He returned to the band in May 2004. He released side projects, including a 2008 7-inch under the World Gang name. Critics praised his drumming, and Stylus Magazine ranked him 37th among the greatest rock drummers.

Green was married to Lauren, and they had a son born in 2016. In December 2022 he was diagnosed with stage IV cancer and died on December 31, 2022, in Sequim, Washington, at age 45.
