Jeff Meendering is an American NASCAR crew chief currently working for Joe Gibbs Racing on the No. 18 Toyota Supra in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driven by William Sawalich. He has held Xfinity and Cup Series roles for several teams, including Stewart–Haas Racing and Petty Enterprises, and has also served as a car chief for Hendrick Motorsports, SHR, and JGR. He began at Hendrick in 1996, joined Jeff Gordon’s No. 24 pit crew in 2000, and became the car chief in 2005. In 2007 he was the interim crew chief for the No. 24 after a suspension incident.

In 2008 he became the crew chief for Bobby Labonte’s No. 43 at Petty Enterprises. After Petty merged into Richard Petty Motorsports in 2009, he joined Stewart–Haas Racing as Tony Stewart’s No. 14 car chief, then moved to Joe Gibbs Racing as car chief for Matt Kenseth’s No. 20. He later returned to SHR as Cole Custer’s Xfinity No. 00 crew chief in 2017–2018, and then rejoined JGR as Brandon Jones’s No. 19 Xfinity crew chief for three seasons starting in 2019. In 2023 Jones left JGR; Meendering moved to the No. 18 with Sammy Smith, who left JGR in 2024. He stayed with JGR, moving to the No. 81 with Chandler Smith in 2024, and then back to the No. 18 with William Sawalich after Chandler left following the 2024 season. His younger brother Kevin Meendering is also a NASCAR crew chief for Hendrick Motorsports’ part-time No. 17 Xfinity car. They come from Marne, Michigan.
