Héctor Miguel Bautista López
Héctor Miguel Bautista López (born 5 September 1960) is a Mexican left-wing politician from the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). He has served in both chambers of Mexico's Congress. He earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). In the State of Mexico, he has been active in left-wing politics and led the Mexican Workers' Party in the state. He helped found the Mexican Socialist Party (PMS) and later the PRD. In 2000, he was elected mayor of Nezahualcóyotl. In 2003, he won a seat in the Chamber of Deputies for the State of Mexico's 31st district, serving in the 59th Congress. In 2006, he was elected to the Senate representing the State of Mexico.
