Javier Portillo (Honduran footballer)
Javier Arnaldo Portillo Martínez (born 10 June 1981 in Morolica, Honduras) is a Honduran footballer who plays as a left midfielder for Naranja Mecánica in the ISLANO league in New Orleans, United States.
Portillo began his club career with Valencia in Spain (2005–2006) and then played for several Honduran teams: Hispano (2006–2008), Motagua (2009–2010). He joined Vida in December 2010 on a six‑month contract and made his league debut on 15 January 2011. On 6 May 2011, he moved to Olimpia on a two‑year deal and later appeared for Juticalpa, Real España, Vida again, and Olimpia again before joining Naranja Mecánica in 2023.
Internationally, Portillo represented Honduras from 2011 to 2014, earning 11 caps. He was part of the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup squad, making his first appearance for Honduras in a friendly against El Salvador on 26 May 2011.
