Gräbersberg
Gräbersberg is the highest point in the western Westerwald, at 513.1 meters above sea level. It is located near Alpenrod in the Westerwaldkreis district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The Westerwald is a low mountain range that runs from the Nister river in the east to the Rhine in the west. The village of Alpenrod sits on the slopes and belongs to the Hachenburg collective municipality. To the south lies the protected Westerwald Lake District and the village of Lochum. In 1998, a 73-meter-tall viewing tower, the Gräbersberg Tower, was built at the summit by the mobile operator E-Plus. The viewing platform is 33 meters above the ground and 8.5 meters wide.
