Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes is a 2006 made-for-TV supernatural slasher film and the third entry in the Pumpkinhead series. Directed by Jake West, who co-wrote the script with Barbara Werner, the story centers on townspeople furious after a local mortician is caught stealing organs and dumping bodies in a swamp instead of cremating them. The witch Haggis summons Pumpkinhead from the mummified body of Ed Harley, and the demon goes on a killing spree against those responsible. Doc Frasier tries to stop Pumpkinhead, hoping to kill the demon.

Lance Henriksen returns as Ed Harley, now appearing as a ghost; he had previously declined to return for another installment but agreed after talks with the directors. The film uses a lot of CGI for its effects and was shot in Bucharest, Romania, back-to-back with Pumpkinhead 4. It premiered on the Sci Fi Channel on October 28, 2006, and was released on home video on March 27, 2007. Critical reception was generally negative, with outlets like DVD Talk and Dread Central giving it 2 out of 5 stars and The New York Times calling it unmemorable. Henriksen later expressed disappointment about the film in an interview with YouTuber Comic Book Girl 19.
