Jamal Rayyan
Jamal Rayyan (born 23 August 1953 in Tulkarm, Palestine) is a Palestinian journalist and news anchor for Al Jazeera. He began his career in 1974 with the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation in Amman, where he worked as a reporter and presenter until 1989. He also reported for the Arabic radio service of the Korean Broadcasting System, and later worked for BBC Arabic World Service and Abu Dhabi's Al Oula TV. He is known for presenting The World of News Tonight and The Fourth Dimension. In 1996–1997 he helped build Al Jazeera in Doha and trained its news presenters. He has reported on major events such as the Iraq War, the War on Terror, and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Since 1999 he has been with Al Jazeera again.
