Jacksonville Breeze
The Jacksonville Breeze was a women's football team in the Legends Football League (LFL). They were based in Jacksonville, Florida, and played home games at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena from 2013 to 2014. The team began as the Tampa Breeze in 2009 in Tampa, Florida, and played at the Tampa Bay Times Forum from 2009 to 2012. In September 2012 they moved to Jacksonville. The league paused the 2012–13 season and later rebranded to the Legends Football League in 2013. Most players came from local athletes. The Breeze colors were red, black, and white. Yo Murphy was the head coach, and the team was owned by Lingerie Football League, LLC. They did not win any Lingerie Bowls. On January 27, 2015, the league announced that the Breeze had suspended operations with plans to relaunch in another Florida market within three years. Website: www.lflus.com/jacksonvillebreeze.
