Zetea
Zetea, also known as Zetelaka in Hungarian, is a commune in central Harghita County, Romania, in the Székely Land of eastern Transylvania. It is made up of six villages and lies on the Târnava Mare river, with the Vărșag stream joining it nearby. Zetea is about 12.4 km north of Odorheiu Secuiesc and 52.3 km west of Miercurea Ciuc. The area has a strong Székely Hungarian majority. In 2021 the population was 5,729, and the commune covers about 206.8 square kilometers, giving a density of around 27.7 people per square kilometer. The timezone is EET (UTC+2) and EEST (UTC+3) in summer. The postal code is 537360 and the car registration code is HR. The current mayor (2020–2024) is Attila Nagy of the UDMR.
