Ismail Nasr al-Din is an Egyptian politician and a member of the Egyptian Parliament. He has proposed several controversial bills.

In 2017, he tried to change the constitution to remove the presidential term limit, so President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi could run again as he wishes. To amend Article 140, he needed signatures from at least 20% of MPs, but he did not reach the required number, and the move sparked outrage.

In 2018, he introduced a bill to remove religion from Egyptian national IDs after collecting more than 200 MP signatures. The proposal aimed to amend Article 49 of the Civil Code to prohibit any mention of religion on ID cards, arguing it would treat all citizens equally regardless of faith.

His proposals have sparked debate in Egypt.
