Indian Lake (Cass County, Michigan)
Indian Lake is a spring-fed lake in Cass County, southwestern Michigan, about 5 miles west of Dowagiac. It covers 506 acres, is up to 28 feet deep, and sits at 751 feet above sea level. The lake was named after the Native Americans who once lived there. About 220 homes line the shore, with roughly one third on leased land. On the west side is Indian Lake Hills Golf Course, with three nine-hole courses: East, West and North. On the east end is Indian Yacht Club, which has a boat ramp that requires membership to use.
