Improved clinch knot
Improved clinch knot (Salmon knot)
A knot used to secure fishing line to a lure, swivel, clip, or artificial fly. It’s popular for being easy to tie and for its strong hold, especially as tension increases. It works with mono, fluorocarbon, and braided lines. The main difference from the basic clinch knot is that the working end passes through the loop created in the second-to-last step, making the connection tighter and more secure.
