ITU I.431 and I.430 are recommendations for ISDN networks. They define the physical layer (Layer 1) and describe how signals travel over E1 or T1 circuits. I.431 is the PRI Physical Layer (Primary Rate Interface), while I.430 is the BRI Physical Layer (Basic Rate Interface).
