Hypatopa binotella, the spotted dowd moth, is a small moth in the Blastobasidae family. It is found across most of mainland Europe, but not in the Iberian Peninsula or much of the Balkan Peninsula. It was first recorded in Great Britain in 2006, likely imported accidentally by humans. The wingspan is 19–21 mm. Adults fly from late May to mid-August, with one generation per year. The larvae feed on fallen pine needles from various Pinus species.
