Ancestral Homeland is the fourth album by American jazz trumpeter Roy Campbell and the second release by Pyramid Trio, featuring the original lineup with William Parker on bass and Zen Matsuura on drums. It was recorded on February 12, 1998 at Strobe-Light Sound in New York and released later in 1998 on the No More label, produced by Alan Schneider. The music blends composed pieces with improvisation and is described as World Universal Music. Notable tracks include Song for Alan, dedicated to Alan Shorter, and Brother Yusef, a tribute to Yusef Lateef.

Critics noted the album’s depth and communication among the players. AllMusic’s Scott Yanow says each listen reveals more about the trio’s interplay and secrets of the performances. DownBeat’s Jon Andrews adds that the music often brings to mind Don Cherry, highlighting Campbell’s concise trumpet playing and the world-music influences in the trio’s sound.
