“Lay Low” is a country song by Josh Turner, written by Ross Copperman, Tony Martin and Mark Nesler. It was released on September 15, 2014 as the first single from Turner's sixth album Deep South, which came out in 2017. The song is a slow ballad about appreciating simple, peaceful moments in life. A Taste of Country critic called it a Critic’s Pick for its honest lyrics and straightforward melody. A music video directed by Trey Fanjoy premiered in November 2014. The track had sold 116,000 copies in the U.S. by April 2015. The album version runs 4:21 and the radio edit 4:03. It was produced by Frank Rogers and Josh Turner and released on MCA Nashville.
