Ijeoma Ndukwe-Egwuronu

Ijeoma Ndukwe-Egwuronu is a Nigerian entrepreneur also known as Nwanyi Akamụ or Iyaologi for her food business, Bubez Foods. She was born on May 12, 1982, in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, and grew up there as the eldest of six children.

She attended Assumpta Primary School in Owerri and Owerri Girls Secondary School. Ijeoma studied Human Physiology at the University of Calabar.

In 2004, she started Bubez Plaiz, a boutique retail store, which ran for eight years but closed in 2012 due to debts. Afterward, she turned to food processing and created Bubez Foods, a company that uses corn as a key ingredient. She has developed more than seven variants of her signature Bubez Pap Mixed Grains Paste.

Ijeoma is passionate about empowering women and has spoken about giving women the opportunity to lead in their chosen fields. She notes that storing raw materials and finished goods remains a major challenge in Nigeria’s agricultural value chain.

She is married and has three children.
