Jodojigawa Dam

Jodojigawa Dam is a gravity dam in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. It helps with flood control and water supply. The dam is 72 meters high and 233 meters long. It collects water from a 7.7 square kilometer catchment and, when full, covers about 10 hectares of land. The reservoir can hold up to 2.16 million cubic meters of water. Construction started in 1989 and the dam opened in 2008.
