George Henry Stimpson (25 January 1910 – 1983) was an English footballer who played as a full back. Born in Giltbrook, England, he began with local clubs Ainsworth United Methodists and Kimberley Amateurs. Stimpson played in the Football League for Notts County (90 appearances from 1929 to 1934), Exeter City (29 appearances in 1936–1937), and Mansfield Town (82 appearances from 1937 to 1940). He also played for Rhyl Athletic (1934–1936) and later for Giltbrook Villa and Brinsley. In total, he made 201 league appearances and scored no goals. He was 5 ft 10 in tall and died in 1983, aged about 73.
