Hochgern
Hochgern is a mountain in Bavaria, Germany. It is part of the Chiemgau Alps and rises to 1,748 meters above sea level. The peak sits south of Lake Chiemsee and marks the junction of the municipalities Unterwössen, Marquartstein and Ruhpolding, as well as the Urschlau Forest district. With a prominence of about 967 meters, Hochgern is one of the most noticeable peaks in the Bavarian Alps, and several smaller mountains surround its central summit.
