Dashti County
Dashti County is in Iran’s Bushehr province. Its capital is Khvormuj. The county covers about 5,008 square kilometers and has a 25-kilometer coastline along the Persian Gulf. It borders several other counties and sits in an arid to semi-arid climate. There are three districts: Central, Kaki, and Shonbeh and Tasuj.

- In 2016, about 86,319 people lived in 24,474 households.

- Shonbeh became a city in 2009, and Baduleh became a city in 2012.
People and language
- The residents are Muslim and speak Persian, including the local Dashti dialect.
Economy and farming
- The area produces wheat, tomatoes, corn, and other crops. There is also a local honey industry.
- Natural resources include petroleum, natural gas, lime, and quarry stones.
Geography and landmarks
- The highest point is Mount Beyrami at 1,950 meters.
Notable event
- On 9 April 2013, a 6.1-magnitude earthquake hit Shonbeh and nearby areas, causing at least 37 deaths.
