Hapoel Ashkelon F.C. (women)
Hapoel Ashkelon Women’s Football Club (Hebrew: הפועל אשקלון) was an Israeli women’s football team from Ashkelon. They played in Ligat Nashim, the Israeli women’s league, and in the Israeli Women’s Cup. Founded in 1998, they were among the first women’s clubs in Israel and competed in the league’s first season, remaining for about four seasons. In the 2000–01 season, they reached the Women’s Cup semi‑finals, losing 2–7 to eventual cup winner Hapoel Tel Aviv. After finishing bottom of the league, the club folded in 2002.
