1997–98 Parma AC season
Parma Associazione Calcio had its eighth season in Serie A in 1997–98. The club was owned by Parmalat, with Calisto Tanzi as president and Carlo Ancelotti as manager, and they played at Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Parma competed in three competitions: Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the UEFA Champions League. In Serie A they finished 6th, which qualified them for the 1998–99 UEFA Cup. In the Coppa Italia they reached the semi-finals. Their first-ever Champions League campaign ended in the group stage, the season’s only real disappointment.
Top scorers: Hernán Crespo with 12 league goals, and Enrico Chiesa with 21 goals in all competitions.
