HMS Investigator (1823) was a Royal Navy survey sloop bought in 1823 for service in Indian waters. She carried a tender, the cutter Star. On 1 November 1825 the eight-man crew of Star abandoned Star in the North Sea and were rescued by the British merchant ship Amity. On 8 November 1825 Investigator was wrecked in the North Sea, but she survived and reached Harwich, Essex, England, on 11 November 1825. The final fate of Investigator remains unknown.
