Howard Bay (Antarctica)
Howard Bay is a small bay in Antarctica, about 2 miles (3 km) wide. It lies between Byrd Head to the west and Ufs Island and the Lachal Bluffs to the east. The bay was discovered in February 1931 by the British Australian New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition led by Douglas Mawson, who named it after A. Howard, the expedition's hydrologist.
