Gustaf-Otto Adelborg
Gustaf-Otto Adelborg (1883–1965) was a Swedish writer. He was born in Ludgo Parish (now part of Nyköping Municipality) and studied in Uppsala and Stockholm. He later worked at a second-hand bookshop in Stockholm. Adelborg wrote essays with psychological and religious themes. His notable works include Om det personligt ochliga (1907), Våga, vedervåga (1908) and Afsides (1923). In Våga, vedervåga he criticized the Swedish academic world. A public dispute with writer Fredrik Böök made his career difficult. He published only a few works; his early books are hard to read, but he later developed a clearer, almost childlike, serious style. He came from the noble Adelborg family and was the brother of Fredrik Adelborg and Louise Adelborg.
