Guntars Mankus
Guntars Mankus (born 5 July 1969) is a Latvian orienteer, rogainer and adventure racer. He has won several world and European titles in rogaining in the Mixed Open category, usually with teammates Anita Liepina, Raimonds Lapiņš or Irita Puķīte. His rogaining medals include: gold at the World Rogaining Championships in Lesná, Czech Republic (2002) with Liepina and Lapiņš; bronze in Arizona (2004) with the same team; gold in Warrumbungles, Australia (2006); silver at Kiilopää, Finland (with Puķīte); and gold at Sierra Nevada, California (with Puķīte). In Europe he won Mixed Open gold at the European Rogaining Championships in Nõva, Estonia (2005) with Liepina, and in Aralar Range, Spain (2016) with Puķīte. In precision orienteering, he became World Champion in PreO Open in 2014 and earned bronze with Latvia at the World Trail Orienteering Championships in Lavarone, Italy.
